Early birthday present from my parents!!!

“What, mix CDs?” you might ask.

For two years now, I’ve been meaning to make digital copies of my artwork, so that I could make prints to sell on Etsy and actually profit from my major and passion.  However, I scanned one of my paintings at it cost me $300, so very quickly I gave up.  My best paintings hung on the walls in my house, and the ones that we didn’t have room for hid in my room.

Apparently, for two weeks I’ve been completely oblivious to my parents taking down my pieces one by one, sneaking them off to a local photographer, and getting them digitized.  Today, my dad gave me these, and I couldn’t have been happier!

The blue one is my copy, but the red one is a copy for a public art project in San Jose Japantown…my work may end up immortalized on a wall!

This is the best video I have ever seen. The amount of people and the dancing and coordination and moving car IS IMPECCABLE. THAT TOOK PRACTICE. CONGRATULATION. LOVE.

I would have been SOBBING the entire time…HEAVING SOBS OF JOY.  Dear lord, this was so beautiful.

J: “Hey, you know what’d be funny?  What if we acted like there was all this sexual/romantic tension between us during all our interviews?”

S:  ”OMG that’s hilarious!  You have to be caught looking at parts of my body, that’ll be all over tumblr.”

J:  ”Oooh, ooh, what if I said that you made me want to be a better man?”

S: “YES.  And let’s make sure there’s pictures of us hugging and kissing on the cheek!”

And so, their plan was hatched, and they sent all of us into turmoil.

Easy apartment therapy: Peonies

If you ask me, there’s nothing prettier or more fragrant than peonies—and lucky for us, they’re in season! I snipped this one from my mom’s garden and the scent is already filling up my living room. Buy a bouquet or even a single stem to transform your home (and when they’re not in season, try Thierry Mugler’s Angel Peony perfume, which comes seriously close to the real thing).

Peonies are my second favorite!!  I just want to buy thousands of them and have them strewn all over my room
